Cutting Room Manager – Cape Town New!

Description

A senior position for a highly skilled Cutting Room Manager required by this well established Corporatewear Manufacturer. Good working conditions with a well-run plant.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the cutting room.
• Managing production schedules, optimizing material utilization and ensuring quality control in garment cutting processes.
• Be responsible for opening and closing of the factory.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in managing the garment cutting room.
Additional: • Knowledge of fabric types, cutting techniques and marker-making. • Must have experience with Bulmer and Gerber cutting machines, as well as Fusing processes. • Knowledge of suiting eg jackets, pants, waistcoats, as well as Melton coats. • Knowledge of Knits and Software eg blouses, dresses. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage people and follow HR procedures. • Attention to detail and quality control. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and leadership abilities. • Problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Knowledge of housekeeping a factory environment. • Must be computer literate.
