Garment Technologist (Fashion Apparel) – Cape Town New!

An exciting and challenging opportunity for a Garment Technologist, passionate about Fashion Apparel and who loves working in a team. Your role in Technical Support will involve developing, maintaining and enhancing consistent quality products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to Suppliers, Merchandise and Design teams.
• Continually develop, implement and review garment specifications.
• Maintain and improve product quality.
• Accurately assess products against company garment specifications within the critical path.
• Provide Product care information and to monitor adherence to correct care labelling by suppliers.
• Supplier SWOT analysis.
• Analyze customer feedback to improve garment performance and reliability.
• To build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders to meet company objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Clothing Management or Fashion Design.
Experience: 5 years experience in Fashion Garment Technology.
Additional: • Previous experience in men’s departments will be an advantage. • Some denim experience will be advantageous. • Work flexible hours – plan & manage own time. • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately. • Good pattern making skills. • Ability to resolve issues. • Good communication skills – written & interpersonal. • Computer literate in Microsoft Office (preferably G-Suite. • Customer service oriented.
