Imports Merchandiser (Admin) – Cape Town New Year Opportunity!

Description

This leading Clothing Importer has a vacancy for an experienced admin Garment Imports Merchandiser with at least 5 years experience in this role.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the critical path from brief from customer to delivery.
• Strong admin skills, ensuring all deadlines are met, strike-offs and trims approved, etc.
• Experience in liaising with offshore garment suppliers.
• Costing and negotiations with factories.
• Following up of samples, fabrics, swatches, trims, etc.
• Sample development process: Fit/PP/shipments: review/measure and send comments to factories and approval of fabric, colour, wash trims, etc.
• Making sure that shipments are on track.

Requirements

Qualifications: Relevant Degree/Diploma.
Experience: 5 years experience in a similar role.
