Junior Designer/CAD Artist – Cape Town New!

Description

A leading Clothing Design Centre/supplier to the chains, has recently also opened a Cape Town office and is looking for a talented Junior Designer, experienced in cadding/tech packs, trend research. You will be assisting two Merchandisers and they offer good working conditions, stability and growth opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Constant trend research.
• Compile ovs instore images from Merchandisers buying trip.
• Trend presentation preparation and presenting to customer. Assisting the Merchandiser.
• Buyers briefing with the Merchandiser.
• New developments.
• Cadding, briefing, prepare & send all swatches & all reference samples with Swift brief to factories (hand compiled parcel to admin (including packaging manual).
• Load Buyer briefs onto Swift.
• Updating packaging booklets/manuals every season.
• CAD overview updates by style/program/customer.
• Checking of factory samples & lab dips against the brief (Merchandiser to be shown).
• Store visits to compile instore images & collect comp shop images.

Requirements

Qualifications: Design Diploma/Degree.
Experience: 2 – 3 years within a Design Centre environment.
