Graphic Designer (Apparel) – Parklands, Cape Town New!

Description

My client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join their dynamic Apparel team. In this role, you’ll transform written briefs and customer insights into compelling apparel graphics and production-ready artwork for both international and proudly South African brands. SA CITIZENS ONLY.

Responsibilities

• Design original apparel graphics for T-shirts, hoodies, outerwear and seasonal collections.
• Create production-ready artwork, including tech packs, CADs, sketches, labels, hang tags and packaging.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising and Marketing teams to ensure designs are executable and aligned with brand identity.
• Develop marketing collateral such as brochures, catalogues, lookbooks and promotional graphics for e-commerce platforms.
• Research apparel trends, print and dye techniques and consumer preferences to inform design direction.
• Manage colour palettes, CAD libraries, digital assets and artwork approvals through to final production.

Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Art or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Apparel graphic design.
Additional: • Strong portfolio showcasing apparel and branding work. • Proficiency in CorelDRAW (essential), Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and CAD tools. • Understanding of apparel construction, textile printing methods and pattern development. • Experience preparing files for screen print, embroidery, sublimation and other production techniques. • Excellent attention to detail, time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
