My client, a reputable South African manufacturer of quality Softwear and Home Linen, is seeking an experienced QUALITY MANAGER to lead quality assurance across its manufacturing operations. SA CITIZENS ONLY.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve quality management systems and standards.
• Oversee raw material, in-process and final product inspections.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards and product requirements.
• Lead quality control teams and manage supplier performance.
• Investigate defects, drive root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Reduce waste, rework and customer complaints through continuous improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Experience:
Additional: • National Diploma or Degree in Textile Technology, Clothing and Textile Technology, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field (preferred). • Formal quality qualification or training such as ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt or SAQI quality certification (advantageous). • Minimum 5 years' quality control or assurance experience in a TEXTILE, CLOTHING or HOME TEXTILE manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years management experience. • Proven experience in sewing, quilting and finishing quality, ideally in bedding, duvets, pillows or similar home textile products. • Experience in customer and retailer audits and managing customer complaints. • Strong knowledge of textile materials, fabric and fibre properties, sewing and quilting construction and common defect types. • Working knowledge of AQL sampling, inspection standards and textile testing methods. • Competent in root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools. • Strong data analysis and reporting skills; proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and familiar with ERP or production systems.
