Junior Merchandise Planner – Cape Town

The company is looking for a highly analytical and motivated Junior Planner with 2 – 3 years’ experience to support stock planning, forecasting and trading performance in a fast-paced retail environment. SA CITIZENS ONLY.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage stock to achieve turnover and profitability targets.
• Analyse sales trends, stock performance and future demand.
• Prepare stock and sales budgets, forecasts and projections.
• Monitor stock holding and ageing within agreed parameters.
• Coordinate local production and imported orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Implement tracking reports and analytical tools to support decision-making.
• Recommend corrective actions based on market and trading changes.

Requirements

Qualifications: Degree in either B.Com (Logistics), Business Science or related field.
Experience: 2 – 3 years’ experience in planning, merchandising or data analysis.
Additional: • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Strong organisational and communication skills. • ERP planning system experience advantageous.
