Manufacturing Merchandiser (Ladieswear) – Cape Town

Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing Merchandiser with a strong background in Ladieswear Apparel Manufacturing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle from development to production, quality and delivery. SA CITIZENS ONLY.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Designers and Buyers on product development and range execution.
• Manage garment costing, quotations and pricing to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
• Source fabrics, trims and accessories while negotiating favourable supplier terms.
• Co-ordinate pre-production and production processes to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor production quality standards in partnership with QA/QC teams.
• Track inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support efficient stock management.
• Work closely with planning and production departments to achieve operational targets.

Requirements

Qualifications: Relevant Degree/Diploma in Manufacturing or Merchandising.
Experience: 5 – 8 years proven experience in Ladieswear Manufacturing/Merchandising.
Additional: • Strong knowledge of garment production processes and supplier management. • Experience with costing, sourcing and production co-ordination. • Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills. • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working with major retail accounts. • Strong understanding of production planning and inventory management.
